AFCON 2027: Pamoja in East Africa
The TotalEnergies CAF Africa Cup of Nations PAMOJA 2027 is hosted jointly by Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania, from 19 June to 17 July 2027. It is the first time in 51 years that the tournament is staged in East Africa. 24 teams will play in the finals.
AFCON 2027 qualifiers
48 teams play in 12 groups of four, home and away. The top two in each group qualify. Co-hosts Kenya (Group D), Uganda (Group H) and Tanzania (Group L) are qualified automatically, so in those groups only the best-placed other team goes through.
Matchdays 3 and 4: 9 to 17 November 2026
Matchdays 5 and 6: 22 to 30 March 2027

Nigeria (Group L with Madagascar, Tanzania and Guinea-Bissau): second with 3 points after two games. The Super Eagles play Tanzania on 13 November (home) and 17 November (away).
Ghana (Group C with Côte d’Ivoire, The Gambia and Somalia): still without a point after two games. The Black Stars face Somalia on 12 and 16 November.
Kenya and South Africa (Group D with Guinea and Eritrea): South Africa have maximum points, Kenya are already qualified as co-hosts. They meet on 13 and 17 November.
