How the NPFL works
The 2026/27 NPFL season kicked off on 28 August 2026 with Shooting Stars against Inter Lagos. 20 clubs play each other home and away, 38 matchdays in total. Every point counts in your prediction league, from the title race to the battle against relegation.
NPFL table: a tight title race
After Matchday 11 (30 October to 1 November 2026) four clubs were level on 18 points at the top: Rivers United, Rangers International, Bendel Insurance and Kano Pillars, separated only by goal difference. NPFL winners: Rangers and Enyimba on 9 titles
Rangers International won the 2025/26 NPFL title on the final day with 68 points, one ahead of Rivers United. It was their ninth league title, level with Enyimba as the most successful clubs in NPFL history. Remo Stars were the 2024/25 champions. That makes every Oriental derby between Enyimba and Rangers a match you want to predict.
